8. Language Tests

IELTS/ Pearson Tests / Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

These are tests that a student who isn't a native English speaker may take. They test English language ability, and may be required for entry for some educational courses.

Pre-sessional course

A Pre-sessional course allows students who do not meet the required IELTS score or sometimes no IELTS score at all, to attend university in the UK. The pre-sessional courses help students improve their English language alongside their degree.
